   If your wound isn’t showing improvement within 2 weeks, or if you notice infection signs (swelling, redness, pain, pus, or odour), it’s best to book a consultation immediately.

Costs & Payments

1. Do you accept medical aid?

   
   M2 Health operates as a cash practice (card payments only). We provide invoices for you to submit to your medical aid, but medical refunds depend on the medical aid and plan type.
   
   
2. How much does treatment cost?

   
   Costs vary depending on the treatment and products used. You’ll always receive a clear explanation and breakdown before we begin.
   
   
3. Are emergency call-outs available?

   
   Yes — we provide weekend, after-hours, and emergency call-outs for urgent wound care needs. These are billed separately per visit. If it is a life threatening situation, it’s advised to go to your nearest Emergency Department.

1. What is Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)?

   
   NPWT is a technique that uses controlled suction to remove fluid, reduce swelling, and encourage faster healing. We are accredited with Equity, Smith & Nephew, Acelity & Medulla.
   
   
2. Do you provide compression therapy?

   
   Yes — but only after we perform an Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) test to ensure it’s safe for your circulation.
   
   
3. Can you help with medico-legal reports or motivational letters?

   
   Absolutely — we prepare medico-legal reports and motivational letters for funding approvals when required.

Aftercare & Education

1. Will I get wound care instructions to follow at home?

   
   Yes. We provide clear, practical instructions for patients and caregivers, ensuring you know how to continue care safely between visits.
   
   
2. Do you train other healthcare providers?

   
   Yes — we offer basic wound care training for nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care across facilities. We also provide options for in-service training to all staff at different levels to ensure basic understanding and early detection.
   
   
3. How can I prevent wounds from recurring?

   
   We’ll create a prevention plan tailored to your health needs, including lifestyle tips, protective dressings, and ongoing check-ups.
